I'm in the process of machining some dies for my bender. I have already machined 1.75", 1.875", 2.25", 2.5", and soon a 1.625", 2.0" and a 3.0" dies.
I bought a pipe bender of E-bay, but I didn't get what I ordered, so I had to machine what I wanted, which is fine, because the dies that came with the bender have a big radius.

Thanks.

I think i just spend a good 45-60 minutes on google trying to find someone who built their own mandrel tubing bender...for exhaust, 3"

The machines aren't that complicated, i dont see why someone hasn't built their own, or sells directions to make one.

I contacted Stainless Works to have my parts re-done as mandrel and they are 4-6 weeks behind. And this is just a mock up! for a much stuff as i'm going to be doing, i really want a bender, but $40k+ is not worth it

Looks like this one would work if filled with sand. No price listed but it doesn't look very expensive. http://www.americasprideonline.com/b...o/APH100.shtml

That doesn't seem like that bad of a price. Especially when you compare it to others that cost 10-15 times more.
