More specifically, 308. Thats what you are going to find at your local welding supply. .030 if you have good power and a mig over 140 amps, otherwise get the .023 if they have it.

308 for stainless to stainless; 309, or 309L for stainless to mild (reg) steel

Good luck finding 309 wire without special order and a wait. 308 works just fine for stainless to steel in most applications.
