my suggestion is to remove the motor out the bottom, do your head, cam swap, rod bolt upgrade with the motor out of the car.

Man, if you're just doing heads, don't bother with pulling the motor out of the car...it's too easy to just do them in the car...

You're normal hand tools will enable you to accomplish practically all the job...only special tool I can think of off the top of my head is a fuel line release tool. You can find them at any good autoparts store...

Make sure you have a good assortment of wrenches and extensions as well...

Basic hand tools and a TQ wrench. Probably want an air compressor to blow out the bolt holes before you put the new ones in. Also a Small shop vac to put on the water pump and suck out the coolant helps out. Less mess. 4 hr job with the motor in the car.

why, its easier to go out the bottom. takes the same ammount of time to take it out as to do it from the top, but i had my motor back into the car in 10 minutes with every wire connector hooked up and headers on the car. cant do that out the top.

Very easy to drop it out the bottom and it gives you all the room you need to work on the engine and to be detailed enough for cleaning decks and holes out.

You don't need to pull the motor to change heads. Do it in the car.

No need to take the motor out for the heads and wouldnt hooking the cherry picker up to the body scratch the paint, dont see a good hook point for it. maybe i overlooked it
