Default Table Top Press

What do you guys use for a press?

I would like to find something small enough to sit on a benchtop. I don't have anything too big planned for it. I would just like to do differential and pinion bearings, universal joints, etc....

I've been looking at some hydraulic presses from Harbor Freight, especially this one.... http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=44811

What do you guys think?

I think it would be cheaper to buy a cheap hydraulic jack and make a jig out of wood or metal if possible. We're talking like $50.

I have one of he 20-ton HF presses (the H frame unit). I bought one, loaned it to a buddy, let him have it, and bought another one when I stumbled across a (barely) used one. LOL. They're just too handy to have around.

You could probably do most stuff with that benchtop unit. The only thing that I do that the benchtop unit would have issues would be some T56 work (3/4 slider work), or removing pressed on axle bearings. Stuff that requires a fair amount of gap in the workspace.
