well if you are not hard on tools i would go with the northern package, but if you are hard on tools like me go craftsman. i brake a lot of tools, do jobs that are too big for the tools and stuff like that, i just bring it to sears and get a new one. hope this helps.

I'm personally a fan of Craftsman just because if they break you walk into the local Sears and get new ones with no questions asked. Can't go wrong IMO.

Snap-On. If you're serious about quality...otherwise, for minor jobs, Craftsman should suffice.

I would say Craftsman as well. I use and abuse Craftsman tools, every time I need to replace a piece of my tool set, I just take them back to Sears. No questions asked, they just give me a new tool. Even if you are not hard on your tools, you cant beat having that reliability IMO.

I made my first paycheck with Craftsman tools, now it's a mix of course, snap off, mac, matco but still use the Craftsman from time to time. Moved most of them to home. Go with the Craftsman.

Snap-ons are great there is no doubt about it, but can be pricy sometimes. I use craftsman just because Sears is just a few miles away. Break something, go get a new one.

Never had any problem returning any Craftsman stuff when broken....we just had a Northern store open not to far away....not inpressed with their staff locally. I also do not know their return policy. Sears has replaced broken screwdrivers I clearly used/abused as a pry bar!

i brake craftsman tools all the time, like 1/2" and 3/4" braker bars, because of the 6' pipe i put on the end and they just give me a new one, i wish i could afford snap on tools but they are too pricey for me.
