Injector Cleaning Kit
Injector Cleaning Kit I'm looking around to find an injector cleaning kit and was wondering which ones are the ones people use and where do they get them at. I only used the canistor type at work but looking at the price it's pretty steep to get the whole thing with all the adaptors all up front. I was looking at the aresol cans and am not really all that big of a fan with them, just dont like the idea of having to go out and run to get more cans when i can just get a big jug of cleaning fluid and mix it into the canister and go.

There's cleaning and there's cleaning, solvent in the rail only
attacks "gum" type deposits and if you have a silt-in-the-
strainer type problem (which is the only one I've ever had
bite my vehicles) then it's too bad, thanks for the money.
Ar $400 a pop I could send them (or their replacement) out
and have them cleaned properly (disassemble, ultrasound,
new strainer O-rings, the works) at least twice and maybe
3-4 times. For an individual that's the way to go. Are you
looking for a shop setup or just your own use? If you are
willing to disassemble the piece then you could get by with
a cheap ultrasonic bath and some solvent although you'd
like to verify spray pattern and leakage after.
If all you want is to run solvent through them a homebrew
system is pretty cheap to build. I did one with Ford pump,
reg-on-rail piece and a little extra plumbing for injector
testing but also cleaned them with gasoline & excess
Techron. The rig would make OSHA **** a bible but OSHA
has no business with me.

charge your buddies/car club $15/injector and send the injectors to New Era Performance. New Era will only charge you $10 each. You might be able to work out a cheaper deal if you send them a lot of work. Good luck!
