Default New kind of jack?

Anyone ever seen one of these?Wonder if they work.Tried to Google more info on it,but no luck? It's under a hundred bucks and a pair might be an easy way to get our F-bodys up.

Stopped in at my local Harbor Freight store today. They didn't have one to look at(I'd never seen one there) and it's not in the special order catalog.
It's weird that I can't get any more info on it on the Net.Looks like a good, safe way to raise car but would need two of them!

the upper portion leans against the upper sidewall of the tire( you can read the instruction manual)

in other words not only is it lifting the car but also pushing into it a little bit so as to be more stable. I would say that using two of these would be a no-no. They would become very unstable.

These seem like a good idea but need a much larger foot pad, which would kinda defeat the purpose since you would need to drive onto the foot pad. Even then any forward to back motion of the car and splat your face/body is no more.

it says its a jack, not a jack stand. so you would lift it, put a jack stand underneath, and move to the next tire. it looks more stable than the jack were given from the factory

What part of that jack is gonna fail first? I'd say that the bolts that hold that horizontal piece are going to get sheared off. How to fix this? Move the horizontal piece lower so that there's less torque applied on the bolts.

well, considering harbor freight had it made... I can't imagine getting more than a few uses out of it... I bought a 3 ton floor jack (with a warrany thankfully) from them that failed after about 2 weeks of use took it back, the second one has held up quite a bit more, but still...

looks interesting, for everyone saying the stuff about the jack failing and crushing you, i hope, REALLY HOPE, that after you jack up a car, regardless of what jack your using, YOU PUT JACKSTANDS UNDER YOUR CAR. never never never just leave it a jack under your car...
hell i jack up my car, put jackstands under, and then put logs under there, incase the jackstands fail, the wood will leave abou a foot or so of clearance, not comfortable if that ever happened, but not dead either.

Ok, this just popped in my head. What if we're looking at this jack all wrong. What if you just put this under the tire of a lowered car to jack it up a little bit. Then, you have the added clearance to get a real jack under the k-member! Sound good?

the description sounds more like its just supposed to be a jack, or replace the normal jack. jack it up with this item and then put your jackstands (and option logs) under the car ...

i am not seeing how it is actually standing tho, with that small of a base it looks like it would fall right over...

i'm also not seeing how you would actually jack the car up... would like to see it in person.

as far as using this to get a normal jack underneath the car, just buy a low profile jack.

i picked up an "aluminum racing low profile jack" from harbor freight, its a very nice looking piece, and i can get it under my car no problems and its lowered 2inchs (sportline springs)

it didn't cost much more than this "new" jack, i think it came to 130 with tax.
