Broke a damn 12mm Gear Wrench the other night trying to get a driveshaft bolt out of a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. I had a jack handle on it for leverage, the ratcheting part broke and the actual wrench itself bent. Lowes will warranty them? Hmmmm, I also have a broken 19mm.

Most the metric sizes for GM are: 5.5, 7, 8, 10, 13, 15, 18, 19, 21, and 34. There are a few U.S. sizes.
Of course I can't remember at this point, probably because I don't have enough coffee in me. But it seems like inevatibly, I end up needing an 11mm wrench and have to go back to the regular wrench.

Maybe it's something on our cars that is 7/16". Who knows, but I wish I had bought the 11 peice metric set that had 8-19mm sizes.

I had to use a 10mm on stock manifold bolts, but when I did my headers I used the stage 8's, and those are 11mm heads vs. the stock 10mm... I bought an 11mm ratcheting wrench, as well as the 11mm socket just for those... however, I've used it on other things around the home as well as on the car, so I'm not really going to throw much of a fit about it, I've found its easier to buy piece by piece with things like this, vs. buying a set...

most metric sets in any brand (Husky, Gear Wrench, Craftsmen, etc) do not include an 11mm socket or wrench... sort of pissed me off

I've got a set of craftsman SAE and a set of Duralast from Auto Zone and I prefer the Duralast. They were on sale for like 10 bucks so I couldn't resist and I love them. If you break one take it back to any Auto Zone and they'll hand you a new one.

Thats because they want you to buy the standard set as well. Oldest trick in the book. 7/16 = 11mm.
