Dremel Tool opinions please???

I use an old Craftsman one similar to this, they don't make anymore. I use it the most, it runs and runs and runs, and uses way less electricity than my air compressor. I do use air-powered die grinders, but only when I can't get the electric one into the space. With an 1/8" collet, my air grinder can do anything a Dremel can.

I agree, mine does not get that hot at all. I used mine to make the fuel pump door in my car, the discs were expensive, but worth it overall.
The Harbor Freight discs were useless, unfortunately. Shredded in a few seconds of use. Still not sure on the grinding stones, however.
But a die grinder is an excellent compimentary tool to own for the bigger jobs.

The harbor freight Rotozip-style tool works great as a dremel. Like most Harbor freight stuff if you go with the larger more powerful version of the tool you would buy elsewhere you will be in good shape, and still save quite a few $.

i used my dremel to cut my cast off my broken foot after an unfortunate beer and pool collision. those two dont mix when you got a cast. needless to say the doctor was pleasently surprised that he almost had to do nothing to earn his paycheck that day.
