U Coat It - Epoxy Floor Coating - Fall Projects
If you are thinking about coating your garage/shop floor now is the time to do it before the winter! This stuff needs warmer temperatures to cure properly and those warmer days are numbered for the northern areas of the country.
We have medium grey with the clear/AF (Auto Floor) in stock. Pick up locally or ship to your door. Many different styles of colored flake in stock as well.
Call us up if you have any questions.
Keep the dust and dirt levels down in your garage, brush the floor with water and soap and squeegee it clean, add texture during installation for a non-slip surface.

Its not an item we sell on our website like that - we prefer to chat over the phone to make sure you have the right part #'s to complete your install. We run www.ucoatitchicago.com for our u-coatit sales .... that includes some of the common prices. Give us a call or shoot me an email for a quote.
Sorry for the confusion!

Sorry I missed your post.
I drag heavy metal shelves across my floor and don't have any problems. Of course I would keep that to a minimum. I've never had a problem with floor jacks and stands.
I personally don't weld over my own floor but I have not seen a problem yet with the epoxy. Even brake fluid!

man, i wish i knew you guys sold this when i did my garage in april. it is expensive, but i've heard plenty of horror stories from people that bought the cheaper stuff out there. so far, i've had good luck with my u-coat-it floor. i'd definatley say to spend a lot of time on surface prep, especially if your house is older.

Everyone, listen to what this guy is saying. Prep, prep, prep, and then prep some more. Prep is the key. I have never used this specific epoxy product, but I have used a similar product. If you are not going to properly prep the floor, do not bother with epoxy finishes.

I'm searching for a good coating now. I used some other gray epoxy covering in a previous shop before and it was great aside from one thing. Tires. If you parked on it for extended periods ( like six months ) it would peel off under tires. It really infuriated me aside from that it was durable with jacks, stands, welding etc. Anyone have similar issues with this stuff?
