ditto deeavi. disposable gloves are the way to go. if i'm working on the car and need clean hands to touch something like the paint or interior or my laptop, i can just pull a glove off and have instantly clean hands. just make sure you get nitrile and not latex, cuz automotive chemicals will eat right through the latex.

I have Fast Orange at home and it works pretty well. The Gojo at my friend's shop is amazing.

Nononononon you guys got it ALL wrong! Dan, the owner of our shop showed me the light one day:

Go out and buy yourself a small box of TIDE laundry detergent, the powder. Keep a box of that near the slop sink in the shop and when your hands are nasty, sprinkle a bit of that and add some water...**** will remove ANYTHING.

Beware however- it is acidic and will burn your skin in very large quanitities...it literally takes a tablespoon to do the job, that's it! Add a lot of water too as a buffer and you'll be fine! It also keeps the sink white haha.

Try it, you'll see. You'll wonder how it doesn't eat right through your clothes lol.

Saw one of those shows on TLC with the 2 british old chicks helping to cleanup this guys house. They told him to use some butter and a sprinkle of sugar as the abrasive to help clean his hands. It works great and really leaves your hands smelling like sugarcookies. Chicks dig it and keeps your hands soft. Laugh if you want to about smelling good but the last time I checked most women do not like the smell of 90W.

I have a big jug of GoJo under the sink. It does fine for me since I'm usually wearing latex or mechanics gloves when working.

Hell yeah, I was wondering if anyone was going to say this. I've used it before and it works wonders, much better than Gojo or Fast Orange. If you feel it starting to get warm in your hands add water quickly....

Lacquer thinner, brake clean, gasoline, parts cleaner, etc, are all partially or wholly absorbed through the skin. Some of these components accumulate in organs, especially the liver. By accumulate I mean that they never leave your body, and each extra dose brings you closer to liver failure. Larry Hagmann had several liver transplants, but you are not rich or famous, and there are a lot of people in line for transplants ahead of you. You young guys will of course live forever, go ahead and post your posts calling me "chicken little", but the grown-ups here should know better. Have a nice day.
