Default Tranny jack adapter to pump jack

Well the time came to remove the trannny. Had problems with the floor jack and its universal chain setup just would not hold the tranny in the correct position. So I decided to make a fixture for the T56. Fixture gives me a bit of adjustment front to rear when it comes to positioning it on the jack.

Tranny locates in the same spot each time and clamps to the fixture by the side clamps. Have used it for 2 R&R,s so far works great.

Worked great, nothing moved . Just pulled it back, dropped it down. Swapped over the tranny. Pumped it back up into position. No need to make any adjustments.

I think he gets just as much enjoyment out of creating the tools as he does actually using them.

Looks great Chris.

Very nice.

I used the jack tray on my four post to rest the trans on when I swapped flywheels and put in a remote bleeder for the slave cylinder. Not quite as nice as your setup, but it worked well enough.

My biggest issue was not getting it to go into the clutch disc, but it was late so I called it a night. The next day logic kicked in and I put a socket on the crank and turned it just a smidge and the trans went in perfectly.
