I saw a guy at the wreckers who had a portable tire stand. It had one arm to steady it and the post for the tire and the removal arm. Folded up to carry. He said he bought it.
I cut tires off 2 steel rims. Sabre saw to cut a 'bite' out the tire and a cutoff wheel to slice the beads. Nicked the rim a bit, but JBwelded it. More trouble than it was worth.

well im from texas and we use a back hoe to break the bead and then use tire spoons to do the reast and it is very easy to bend and scratch a rim so be real careful and when you go to put it back on use starter fluid to set the bead just spray it around the edge of the rim and light it up its freaking awsome
