I use the one from sears. it look slike the type they use for NASCAR. it sets real low and lifts the car 20+ inches. makes it real easy to get onto jack stands

What is the Sears model number for this jack...?

http://www.sears.com/sr/product/summ...id=00950148000

I got mine on sale at Sears for like $110 for the set. its no lite-weight jack

i have gone thru one floor jack from sams and one from sears, either one would be fine for infrequent work. if you use it very often and want it to last awhile you might want to spend a few more bucks. i completly wore out each of those units using them no more than one time per week and for the last 1/2 of their lifes there were tricks to make them work right, got about 5years or so out of each of them.

from now on i am only going high quality tools, it sucks having to replace the cheap ones. i have got to use actual shop jacks in comercial garages and they are so sweet, smooth relese and fast raising. all that good stuff. hell i might just buy a car lift next time.
