MSD Pro Crimp Does anyone have this criper? I'm thinking about picking one up and getting a couple of other jaws to go along with it. I'm curious how it works and if you have used it to make plug wires or other jaws to crimp on other projects.
I'm wanting this to make some plug wires for a project and another die to make some weather pack connections. I'm curious how the weather pack jaw works and if workes with sealed and unsealed connections

I didn't use that version but used to use an earlier version of the tool with the ratchet jaws.
Crimps were AWESOME. Never had a wire come loose and it was easy on the hands.
There are other tools out there though, about the same price.
Check DigiKey and Newark.

I've got an ebay crimper with the MSD inserts, works awesome! I went ahead and got the kit that does weather packs, insulated and non insulated. The crimper is adjustable too so you can change the "tension" on certain types of connectors as they will vary from brand to brand.

I ended up getting the one from ebay. It's a little bigger than the MSD one. I guess I'll find out this weekend how well I like it when I start on a couple of projects
