This is pretty awesome. X100 on the Jenga thing. I like how they all interlock with each other.

had that happen when i did my lts last year. in the middle of raising the right side up a few more inches, my friend yells "push!"

luckily we were able to hold the car from falling off, but damn if it wouldnt have been a hell of a mess if it did.

Take your time and be careful.
i see you have a lift. do you like the wheel lift or would you rather have the x lift

I like the 4-post lift because it's easy to pull onto and I use it to store the car in the air for months at a time. I'd have concernes about storing a unibody car supported only by the frame rails, plus it's not a good thing to let the suspension sag for extended periods of time.

A nice set of jack stands, and stick some extras under there just in case.

Hell if you're worried throw some cinder blocks or wheels under the car.

I've done the rhino ramps and still use them for some things. I did have the car come down off a set though as I put it up and then jacked the rear off the ground and had nothing (no tranny / ebrake) holding it from falling once the wheels were off. I walked the car down the ramps. Now when I use the rhino ramps I drive it up and then jack the front up and spin one ramp around so that it is locked in place better.

I hear you on the tipping jackstands to. My driveway is too wavy to be doing that stuff and I've had them tip a bit but I always keep a close eye on things. I'd love a kwik-lift but don't have the $$$$ for one. I liked this because you don't always need the car 2 feet in the air so you can adjust it to what you are doing.

As usual, I guess it is whatever people feel the safest with. I've done 6x6's, cinder blocks, jack stands, rhino ramps etc. I always would prefer a lift

I just use SEVERAL jack stands. There are 6 under this car right now. Plus 2 holding the k-member up still on my my ATV jack, with my low-pro jack still holding the trans up.

Jacked it up to a low level, used a cherry picker to lift the front of the car up high enough to get the motor out and set it on the jack stands there.

I paid just under $1800 for mine + the cost of renting a trailor and gas to get it.

why not hit up a used car dealership that looks like it is going out of business or will be soon and ask them to buy one of the display racks ?(you know the ones you see the cars on up in the air out front, with no car on it its like a ramp and when you get up enough it slowly falls down flat) probably would let them go pretty cheap, even buying em new would be

you HAVE TO post pix of where you put your stands. I am always scared to break something when I put my car up and putting it up that high would be soooooooo extremely helpful when I start wrapping my exhaust.
