Question Best burette fluid to use when cc' ing?

What is the best burette fluid to use when cc' ing heads?

I'm thinking a light oil like hydraulic fluid.

I'm measuring the chamber, and not looking for leaks.

Thanks!

Avoid using an oil based liquid. It will pour very slowly and adhere to the inside of the burette. Mineral spirits are fine. When I first saw it done, by NHRA tech crews, they used rubbing alcohol tinted with food coloring. I use alcohol with a couple of drops of machinist's dye to give the mixture a little color.

Kewl! Thank you very much, guys!
I like the idea of machinist blueing. I just have to figure out where to buy it locally.
