Please help me pick a garagefloor protectant
I need to cover my concrete garage floor. My garage was completed in late February/early March so the concrete has had ample time to cure completely.
I know you can just use a concrete sealer like Thompsons etc., but I would like it a little nicer. I have spent a lot of time and money installing heat/AC, dehumidifier, oyster white paneling etc (My garage is as nice as my living room) and I would like a floor covering to match.
I was thinking about using this stuff in blue as my house is a blue beach cottage with white trim-the garage has white walls:

The muscle gloss will cost me about $600
Then I see that Rustoleum has a product that is similar.
http://www.rustoleum.com/brand.asp?....d=19&SBL=1
The Rustoleum is a lot cheaper (about $300) and seems like it would be easier to put down, but only comes in tan/grey. The rustoleum takes at least 7 days to cure for hot tire traffic while the Muscle gloss only takes 2-3 days.
What have you guys used??
Which of these product do you think will work best?
Thanks for your help.
Mike

I used the Rustoleum on my garage floor.
I would highly recommend it.
Inexpensive compared to some of the other products.
Prep properly & you should not have any trouble.
Ours has now been on for over a year with absolutely no problems at all.
Looks great too.
This is a webshots album with a few photos of the floor, http://community.webshots.com/album/59791007ZwLZlB
Good Luck!

I had a few companies come over to give me estimates on a 20 x 20 garage floor which has concerete poured in last fall (Oct I think) and there was choices of expoxy, polishing the cement and acid smoothing. All those estimates were well above a grand, almost as high to $4k
Some of them said I should wait one full year since if the concrete cracks, they won't be responsible for that, no gaurentees, only for peeling or nature of that.
Since one full year will subject the floor to winter, spring, summer and fall with varying temps and hudimity, it's best to wait one full year, see if any cracks shows up, then you can have the crack repaired before the floor goes on so you won't have to do it again for at least a few years.
Instead I got this:
