search does not work!
We fixed all the known bugs in it essentially (I think there was around 10 different items). Save your search preferences to return results by relevance, and give it a try.
Here are some tips:

You can also still use the quotation marks for phrases!
On first inspection... ireally seems to work just like in the old days!

Searched using quotes for "Black ZR1" and got GREAT results!!!
Tititively, with apprehensions, I sincerely congratulate you on the accomplishment!

We are doing changes and improvements, but is part of a more wholistic and integrated search package, and therefore not going to be available till about July or so.
The existing search has been tweaked as much as we possibly can, and there is little more we can do to it for the time being.

As far as I can tell, this search finds things as well if not better than the "old search." So, the "old search" found things as well but went down every time the wind blew. I'll take this one any day, from what I can see so far.

Old search is a relative term. Perhaps I could have said prior search.
The previous search (old to me) seemed like the results were more relevent.
As far as search downtime, I've never experienced that.
.
What are your issues? What keyword are you trying in the Advanced Search Keyword field?
Searching by relevancy still seems to work a tiny bit better for me. To do that, select "relevancy" from the 'Sort Results by" drop down menu under Search Options. It's right below the Keywords field. Searching by forum section helps a lot too, of course.
But, just plain old search normally works fine for me.
Hope that helps.
