Default search function question

what happened to the choice of 'post date' and 'relanance' when searching?
it makes it a lot easier to search older threads, IMO.
if im missing something, inform me.
thanks!

Earlier it was working if you put quotations around the phrase your searching for. Still no relevancy or date options..... Now it doesn't seem to work even with the quotes though.

i even tried using the advanced search and the relavacny, post date, decsending order stuff didnt work.
i keep getting searches starting with todays date and going back no matter what.

another odd one is the search wont accept a 3 letter word anymore.
i cant even search for numbers. not THE number, but spelled: one, two, three, four, etc....
it says [these] words have been omitted from your search or something to that effect.

Yeah, something is definitely not right... a temporary workaround that I've been using is running a google search with the following:

site:www.ls1tech.com/forums -insert search phrase here-

example:

site:www.ls1tech.com/forums torque heads

Now I don't know how new of posts it will find, but it at least is working better than the search function inside the site currently is. You don't need to use quotes or anything... just make sure the first part has NO SPACES, and you obviously don't need to use the "-" that I used in my example. Good luck... hope the search function gets fixed soon.

I agree. The search is not working properly as mentioned above and it is extremely frustrating! I love this site, but have been looking elsewhere to get info mainly due to the search not functioning correctly. Is anything going to be done about this???

STILL NOT CORRECTED. Is anything being done to correct this? Seems to me as if noone is even reading this thread. Hopefully they are and we are just unaware of what they are doing to correct it.
