I do not know why you're having any issues, but same search worked just fine for me.

One thing I'm noticing is that the mods, rob, and Crager (administrator) are NOT having any problems. But, the "regular" members are. Maybe something in the settings about what we are able to access on this site?

Interesting.

There is definitely something not right, and if it's been this way since day one, it's no bloody wonder you all hate it, and us at this point.

I agree 100%, I noted the same thing.

it's 11:47pm, and I am exhausted, been at this computer since 9am.

I am going to get some rest, and look further into things in the morning. I don't want to dig into settings while tired and risk breaking anything further. I hope that you all understand.

Thanks!

yeah it's pretty much been this way the entire time. We meant it when we said the search does not work. :\

cant really scroll down much more, if you look at my screenshot, it clearly says no posts in the last 30 days, maybe show your superiors what they're fantastic dev team created. ><

Guys, I am really sorry. I honestly don't think that any of us on this end of things had *any* idea the issue was like this.

I realize that after I saw your screenshot, thanks for providing it, that is very helpful

I had NO IDEA that the complaints of the search not working, was the search really not working. I don't think that Adrian did either. Wow. Big mistake on our behalf, not much more I can say.

Sincere, and humble apologies.

Now, lets get this fixed and working for you all!

To be fair to Ron, he's been telling us the search didn't work for a very long time, and I haven't ever understood that it was not functioning, as opposed to working in a different way than you all are used to.

I just logged into a test account and yes it seems that Staff only can yield search results:

...now we're getting somewhere!

I took a quick, pre-cursory look through the permissions settings, and I don't see anything that's glaryingly wrong. Will look again with fresh eyes tomorrow.

cheers,

Ok, got some rest, and started back at things already this morning.

I made a test account, tried a bunch of usergroups, and it's definitely something strange. Staff usergroups work, and non-staff don't. This has not happened on the 14 other sites I've worked with this marketplace product previously. If it weren't for the screenshots which eLiT3SnIpEz provided last night, this probably would have gone unrealized even longer.

I will have our tech team on this the moment they get into the office today.

I will post back the moment we have things resolved. I feel horrible that this is something which perhaps could have been addressed sooner if only we had realized the true nature of the problem. My sincere apologies on behalf of all of us here at IB.

cheers,
robb

The problem has been found, it has not yet been fixed, but it's high priority, especially due to how long you have all been faced with it.

I will share the details with you when I find them out though, no probs
