Well, this is the third thread with the title "taptalk" on the front page of this section, and IB has stated that they are working on something, but I haven't heard an update in a while.

They said no because we have to pay to use tapatalk, which is not true at all its a free app and the plugin is free as well. I use it on many forums and I think ls1tech should have it as well its very handy for mobile web forum browsing.

Look closely. It's only Free for certain things (read-only). You want to post content via PM or threads, you have to pay.

Look closer. It is free for forums. The cost is for us the users of the forum. Which is minimal $3 and you can use it on any of the thousands of forums that support it.

Any news? Its been two months now. Its not hard for the forum owners to take advantage of this app. Many other forums are already doing it. I would think the "internet forum king" with all of its resources could have this figured out by now.

My message may have been misread, but I did previously indicate it was only free for certain things (read-only) and that if someone wants to post messages or PMs, "you" have to pay. "You" referenced was you, the end-user

In addition to the users being required to pay for this application in order to fully use it, if I recall correctly, the application was not fully compatible and also inserts their own ads to the end user. Keep in mind the parent company of LS1Tech also owns the vBulletin software.

Hopefully Robb has an update.

My honest opinion, I hate it. The notice comes up everytime you click on a new topic. I don't want to pay 3 bucks just to turn it off. I quit using ls1.com because of taptalk. Is there anyway to get rid of the constant alert you get everytime you try to view a posting?

hey man, what phone/operating system are you using?

Lets figure this out, because that's not how it should work.

You need to clear all cookies, not just log out, not sure if that's what you tried.

cheers,

I'm using an iPhone 4G 4.0.1 OS. The alert will only go away if you click ok to view in taptalk. Your either forced to use taptalk or continue to hit cancel. No big deal, it seems like all forums are going this route. I guess I've finally reached that age where I hate things that change when your already use to it a certain way.

Well I do have to say the way it is set up here verses the other site is better. The other site when you hit ok it directs you to the app store and wants you to buy the app first. Thanks for the help.

i dont get the annoying pop up Goblin is referring to. and for the most part, i actually like it. easy to nav and seems to work smoothly for now. However the Classifieds do not work properly. The thread titles do not show up. All i see is the poster user name, catagory, and number of views. It's all jumbled up on my screen. Very hard to read with the black letters and blue back ground. I have a HTC hero 2.0. all the other forums appear neat and very easy to view.

Would still like the option to use tapatalk, for those of us who like it.

Is vBulletin gonna be doing anything as far as app designing for their forums? I have a very broad range of forums I browse everyday and I know most of them use Vbulletin. It is a very good layout and I love it.

I am kinda disappointed in not being able to view ls1tech on tapatalk, but I think I will get by. The one hangup I see with not utilizing it based on the user having to shell out for it is that so many people already have tapatalk. If people don't wanna pay for it they can use the mobile version of the site on the phone web browser. I think it would broaden the view capabilities to support tapatalk for those who want it or to develope something similar.

Love the site, keep up the good work you have been doing regardless. Donations?
