Question Post count/log in??

Changed PC's and see that the post count is incorrect.[None of the other forums are showing this discrepancy]. I also see that the last visit time/date is incorrect.
I've pm'd 2 mods... no response. How about someone making the corrections for me??

Thanks!

No corrections needed.

For your post count issue please read the sticky threads:

We also have a 50 post minimum requirement (or 6 months membership) to post a new classified ad in the parts for sale forum. This was done to help reduce the potential of newly-registered scammers taking advantage of our members. Now they will have to post in the technical and racing forums to earn their post count, which may help turn them away.

Forums with disabled post-counting:

Introductions & Greetings
Signature Test Forum
Racer's Lounge
Multimedia Exchange
Street Racing & Kill Stories
All Classifieds Forums
All Regional Forums

Basically, if it isn't a technical forum, the posts do not count in it.
...and your last visit time issue is on your end. Nobody else has reported it and mine is correct. Check your two computers time/date, and see if you were even logged in.

1. I don't post in forums except the tech. [The previous pc had over 1000 posts, AIRC.]
2. My pc time is correct to the minute.
3. The other 4 forums I visit, have continued w/ the count.. Why not here?
4. No way to get back into the old pc.. It crashed.

You have 29 posts on ls1tech, I guess you have 8 on our truck site. What in the world are you talking about 1000 posts...AIRC??? And again, it is counting for you here.

the site has dumped a bunch of posts! I've been an active member since 1/2009, and have made MANY posts.... Forget it.

The post count is stored on the site, not on your computer, so the computer change makes no difference....

Your first post here lists as being July 21st of this year... interesting.

But, I guess I don't fully understand why post count matters so much to some people. /shrug

I noticed it after I had just had a crash/pc replacement, and asked why...
The actual count has been found by 1 mod, & not by another. [1650+].
But, if dead people vote, using electronics, I guess something as trivial as a post count error, isn't worth the effort for me to to investigate....

The problem here, is that for some reason, you have two accounts.

Old Buzzard only has 41 posts. Old Geezer has 1600+.

Why do you have two accounts in the first place? Did you not realize that all the PMs you're sending to me are from a different account?

cheers,
robb

went to sign up at LS1trucks,[1/09] I was asked for a user name and a password, so I made 1 up.

I had already registered at LS1tech.[1/06].
Since the registering instructions asked for user and p/w, I had no idea that the same info could be used at both sites....My bad, I guess! No biggie....Just alot of confusion!

Now that things are straight, please pick one name...members are only allowed one account. You'll keep the total post count and original start date, just let me know which name you would like to keep.

let's stick with the original handle..Old Geezer.

Maybe, a note on the registration form that's used at the other sites, to the effect that if you are already a member at ls1tech.com, to use the same info?
Seems that would prevent problems for "old geezers" like me!

Thanks for the help...
