What is the exact error? Have you tried an alternate browser, such as Firefox or Chrome, to make sure the issue is with IE8 and not a network or other computer related issue?

If I try to go to this site it says the page cannot be displayed, just like when you lose your internet connection. I tried Firefox & its still happenning. I havent been using my desktop in a while but was able to get right in on that. Its something in the laptop.
