"Hide Marketplace Search"
Like the title states. Just the past 3 weeks or so, whenever I click on "Hide MArketplace Search" in either the parts or vehicle classifieds, it take me back to the home page like I've clicked a link.
Never used to do that. No big deal, just seeing if maybe anyone else has that issue.

I just give the page 3-4 seconds to load completely then click it.
Jeremy.. Is there a way we can have that reversed? Hidden when you first go in then you have to click "show marketplace" for it to come up?
It is a pain and I don't think many use it... People don't list things properly so it is basically useless.

The Hide/Unhide Search does use a cookie to remember the selection. But if you click on the Hide/Unhide Search and you're taken to the homepage instead, I think that's script problem with your browser. What browser are you using and are you using a 3rd party add-on like noscript to filter scripts?

I'm using IE, but my net is weird out here. I'm running through a proxy connected to Houston, with GIL software installed on the computer. I haven't had the problem in over a year. Just the last 3 weeks or so.
It's no biggie Jeremy; Just wanted to see if I was the only one or not.

Unfortunately, I don't think the option to have it hidden, and then expand when requested, by default is something that can be done. Besides, if it's not closing for you, you'll likely not be able to get it open.
I would have suggested that you might try manually deleting the cookie. The tools that you mention, depending on the settings, may or may not do this. However, I suspect it may not be a cookie issue.
To me, it sounds possible that it's a javascript with your browser/computer. If you're filtering javascripts or you're blocking sites that serve them, this feature will not work correctly. I believe the script in question is hosted by ibsrv.net, so if you're filtering scripts from that site, or blocking that site, this feature may not work correctly. The feature uses a javascript to operate, and a browser cookie to store your preference.

When this topic was created the feature did globally. As it is dependent on members' browser settings (cookies and javascript), results can vary.
However, I can confirm that it appears to be globally broken at this time. We'll investigate.
Thanks
