Banned?

I got kicked out of the site on my work computer in chrome. Now if i try to log in it says i have been banned. Under date ban will be lifted it says: never

Just got the same thing I logged out a few time and now it let me back in! Weird must have been a computer mishap!

Random banning.

This happens randomly, and I am not sure why because no reasons are ever given. Sometimes I try and access the forums here, and I get a message about being banned with no reason and that it will never expire.

I think something or someone is randomly banning my IP as I am not logged in when this happens.

Can something be done about this?

Yep, same here. Banned, never to be lifted. 10 minutes later I can log in on the same machine. WTF?

I didn't see that message but one minute I was logged in, few minutes later it said I had no permission to view something because I wasn't logged in.

Also, I noticed that when I reply to a thread, when you click "new posts", it doesn't show up at the top like it should. Something is going on with the site.

No idea what happened here guys, but it must've been on the IB side of things because it had nothing to do with our site specific staff. In fact, there was even a moderator who was randomly banned. I too was logged off for no apparent reason, but I didn't get a ban message.

Things seem to have cleared up now in this regard, hopefully JeremyT will be along at some point with some information about this....
