The process is automatic, as long as the account is active.

Looks like it's already updated.

Congrats, and thanks for being part of the community for so long.

I fear that most forums will be dead in another 10 years. Most have moved over to facebook. There, the info moves much quicker, and is a lot lower quality. Apparently in this day and age, speed is paramount and accuracy is of less concern. The further dumbing down of our society.

I've got a few of these on Facebook...I don't think things will all move to that without a change in format...a website like this is still much more flexible, better search, categorized better...I actually registered for Facebook and LS1tech the same year...2004 lol...I was at one of the first colleges to "get Facebook" before it was mainstream...this is still a better place/source for information.

The storing and searching of info is THE only thing that keeps a forum alive. If FB can match that or come close at some point it's game over here. There won't be enough traffic here to keep the lights on. Then as you have the mass of people (money) in one spot, tons are going to attempt to profit off that. Well, who regulates that? I've been quietly watching the groups I'm in to see how the founders of the group handle advertising and businesses who want to promote there. For now, it seems pretty legit and laid back. It will get more cut throat as more and more people move over. And, let's not forget, we are all human so there will be plenty of mistakes made as things transition. In the end, kings will be dethroned, and new stars will emerge, and some of the tried and true will keep on doing what they do. Where YOU fit into that is well.....up to you.

When I'm cruising ls1tech at work most people don't care, Crack open FB and people lose their minds. I'd miss that small benefit.
