And then all I have to do is right click on the misspelled word and it automatically gives me the correct spelling.

I definitely think we need some spell check up in this bitch. English is one of my strongest subjects, and while I don't expect everyone to care about that stuff or know how to define every word they use....it'd be nice to have a button that will do it for us. 3am and spelling doesn't work out well for me either

PSJ..I was thinking of sites that have spell checks and www.livejournal.com has one. Perhaps you could get in touch with them about what spell check program they use and ask where they got it from if it is indeed free?

I'm a fairly meticulous speller but this is way low on
my give-a-**** list. You're just shouting at the tide.

Learn to let go.

The Walrus and the Carpenter
Were walking close at hand;
They wept like anything to see
Such quantities of sand--
"If this were only cleared away,"
They said, "it would be grand!"

"If seven maids with seven mops
Swept it for half a year,
Do you suppose," the Walrus said,
"That they could get it clear?"
"I doubt it," said the Carpenter,
And shed a bitter tear.

Im with jimmy on this. I like to come to the board and talk but half the time I shorten words or accidentally spell them wrong from typing fast. Im sure it would be a good feature for a lot of people but I wouldnt take the time to go back and correct stuff. There are just more important things in my life than caring what others think about my spelling

I agree with ya. Its way down there. Right next to the Status Titles. I'll roam this site one way or another. I just know there are people out there BEGGIN(or need to be) to have one. Until then, I will gladly live with a few misspelled words.

Thats a cool little poem there btw. Where'd you pick it up?

You can tell the difference between someone misspelling a word, and dumb ***. I started this thread because I got frustrated trying to decipher peoples gibberish, I know this would never get implemented, but it was fun to vent.

Yes it's annoying, but sometimes people mispell words on purpose, for added effect in certain situations.

I know the old software (a couple versions back) had a spell checker right next to the post reply button.

Spelling isn't one of my strongest points. But it's usually the guy thats correcting your spelling thats asking you how to install his spark plugs! Too much day dreaming it class. Lucky I work for myself so it doesn't really matter. I can usually get my point across. But I would like a spell check option. Andy
