Default Instant email notification

Any ideas why I cant get any notification emails? I go on LS1.com and other Corvette forums and always get the emails..

I doubt its my puter (I have two, it works on niether), but anything is possible I guess.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Try this:

Go into your User CP (control panel) and select 'Edit Options'. Scroll down until you see 'Default Thread Subscription Modethen select Instant Email Notification from the drop down box.

edit: I looked at your profile and it looks like you've already done that.

Maybe Brains can help.

Your email provider and/or spam filters could be mistakenly trashing the emails from the ls1tech server; they can get some odd confusions sometimes as to what messages are legit...

I just wonder why only this board doesn't work. All others are sent thru with no problem..

Yeah, and that could be because of what I said in my previous post - the messages from other boards are being sent from different Internet addresses, because they're all different websites. When someone stops getting emails because of erroneous filtering or black-holing of the senders, it's often just the ones sent from one particular address which get blocked, not others even if they may be about similar subjects. What is the part of your email address after the '@' sign?

Of course, the easiest way to "fix" it would be to just get a second email account at hotmail or yahoo or somesuch, and change your LS1Tech account to send messages to that address instead of your main 'real' one.

Try having it sent to another e-mail temporarily...as suggested. If you get e-mail to that address, it's a fiter issue w/ RR ...or other. My e-mail goes through my RR account, no issues. Did you recently add a PC to a home network or reset a switch or router? Are you on wireless?

Sure, give that a shot and see if it gets through. With Yahoo though, I think they have spam filters, so you may have to go into your e-mail preferences and allow e-mail from LS1tech.com.

Try it, it can't hurt.
