Default suggestion: add view counters to our posts

how hard would it be for the moderators/owners or whoever does that sort of thing to have view counters available for our posts, I know I read alot of posts but don't respond..maybe it seems pointless but I would like to see how many users read the posts

Usually on large message boards it is not a good idea to hack the code. cant wait for the new version of the software.

is it going to use a database or still the ubb text-based stuff?

The new board will have that feature and a bunch of other new features.

It will be database driven.

It should only be down a couple of hours but we will give a lot of warning before we do the conversion... There will be three of us doing it together.

No signature pics, those get abused too much. See corvetteforum for an example of what NOT to do.

I don't see how corvetteforum can allow all those sig pics and huge sigs with all the traffic it sees

Generally sig pics dont mean extra traffic for the server, as the images are hosted on your own personal web space (wherever that may be), rather than on the forum server. Corvette forum is a little bit of an exception to the rule tho.
