We used to have a Political Forum, and thats about as close as we've come to having an Almost-Anything-Goes section. However, its been decided that politics a handful of other topics just do not belong on this car related website.

Basically, if its not tolerated in the Racers Lounge, its not going to fly around here. No forums are going to be created anytime soon for AAG crap. Thats what sets this site apart from the others. Go to LS1.com for that type of stuff.

We have a lounge/off-topic area for more general discussion. Feel free to check it out. However, we keep a tight leash on NWS, and general just other stuff that's far out there in terms of immaturity. This helps LS1TECH keep it's great reputation untarnished and keeps users here for the technical discussion rather than the bullshit off-topic discussion... which I might add is all that sites like "Nabisco" and Ls1.turd turn into.

Nasioc, nabisco, I guess I can see it

The true reasoning behind the decision is as stated above -- LS1Tech doesn't need to grow its member base with folks who happen to own an LS1 (or not) and just want to "chat." This site was founded by racers, for racers. The site exists to further the advancement of the technical side of our vehicles -- not to see stories about juvenile issues, who pwn3d who, and the like. The Racers Lounge serves our "off topic" needs just fine, and again I point you to the replies earlier in this thread about the tight leash. I personally think its a bit loose in there already

LOL... I was guessing he meant NASIOC, but I didn't know if this was some other secret group I hadn't heard of or something

Hell no you're not. I think some regional sections are running a little wild too.
