yah, i used it to convert my .avi files to the .mp4 that is needed to work on an ipod. the only problem i've had is the sound not matching up which gets on some people nerves but i'm fine with it.

I'd be happy with just being able to save the videos in the first place. Getting them on the IPOD is easy, but you can't actually save the streaming videos.

That is my grief with streetfire/ls1tech/all the other streaming host sites. I can't stand them and avoid them like the plague.

Actually, you can save streaming videos. I've done it MANY times before. But it only works on certain players.

You will need a streaming media recording software, and the site of the video (not the site it is playing on, but the actual site it is hosted on, right click > properties).

OR

You could also right click on the video while it's playing, and play it in Windows Media Player and File > Save As... etc. I've never done it like that, have always had more luck with the software.

You can find the software free if you search around... Google it.

Works on some sites, but not on streetfire/ls1techvideos.

You can't save the videos. The guy who runs the service said they made it that way to reduce bandwidth costs and add value to the video sites, since people would visit them less often if you could download all the videos.
