It wont let me resign up under a different name as my email is the same as when I originally signed up as 67chevelle02ss, so is my only option to create and resign up using a different email as well? Sorry to be a pain seems as though it would be easier.

Create a bogus email with hotmail.com for your current account. You can change your email on that account. After that is done, you can re-register a new account with the old email.
