The posts I am trying to view are long (say over 100 replies) and have been started prior to the software change.

The red bar at the top and bottom of the screen, indicates that only one page exists. This single page contains only 15 or so of the total 100 replies.

I assume this is a software bug. This seems to occur only on older threads....

This thread has more than 100 replies. It also shows three (3) pages. What does it look like when you open it?

I just remembered another software bug that has resulted from the new upgrade:

6. The soundclips posted in certain posts do not work and result in getting an error message. Sometimes, when accessed, they crash my software and it must be re-booted.

See "ASA Soundclip" in the internal engine forum.

******************************
I will now start writting these down as I discover them. I am certain there are many more bugs.

I looked at that thread. The link in the original post is dead. The new links appears to be http://www-scf.usc.edu/~chutchin/ls1/ASAatIDLE.wa Either way, that's not an issue dealing with ls1tech. I was also able to go through all 5 pages of that thread and it's an older thread.

Another software BUG:

8. When accessing a post the software will sometimes take your screen to the middle of the thread instead of taking your screen to the top of each thread. Most recently, this happened on "TR 224, how can you tell" that is posted in the internal engine forum.

...more to follow

By the way, I reallize these software bugs are not the fault of moderators or administrators. It is truly a bad piece of software that should not be acceptable under any circumstances, however.

The site is working and looking better every day!

Just one issue how do we stop the posting of our "sig" each and every time we reply to a post?

you can't. It's set in your preferences to either view ALL the signatures in the post(s) or to view none of them. No in between as far as I know.

Psssst.. Make your sig shorter

Robert - Check this thread out for an answer to why the software takes you to certain spots in different threads.

https://ls1tech.com/threads/showflat...=7&fpart=1

I looked at the ASA soundclip thread and everything seems fine to me.

Try clearing the ls1tech cookie from your computer. Then come back and login again. The cookie from the old site may be causing some of your problems.

I don't think the software is as bad as you think. Maybe you just need more time to adjust.

John

PS - Whatever side of the bed you woke up on this morning try the other side tomorrow. :p
