Default Brains, a question

I was just noticing that in the threads that if you have your sig turned on, it will be in each post in the thread. Could this be set up to just show your sig once, or in your intitial post on each thread? Seems this may help on the total load on the system, as some sigs are hosted elsewhere and I am sure it takes resources to have a sig alive in say 20 posts in one single thread. Am I on the right track, or does it matter whether it's once or twenty times per thread?

Thanks. It has placed me in 7th place in the Z06 stock cai/dr list. Have you seen the list? some fast cars in the right hands. Bonestock record is 11.8x IIRC. GM sure got it right with the Z06.

I have seen it as well on other sites. I think it would be a good idea.

yea i think once per thread is the way to go. we dont need to see the same sig 20 times in each thread.

Signatures are not hosted on ls1tech and therefor have no effect on the server's load. Also, a picture, once loaded, is cached, or at least with my browser. So, it does not matter how many times on a page it is located.

If I were not a mod, I would disable signatures - then I wouldn't have to bother reading them at all....

The sig is more for SSU than 'tech in its current form.

Haven't tried disabling it on one site, and seeing if it affects both sites yet.
