Default Error 503 with Firefox only

I get the following error with Firefox only, and it just started happening. IE7 is fine. Any ideas?

503 Service Unavailable

any more details -- i use firefox exclusively, and don't see that error. like exactly what you click on, type, etc. to generate the error.

I use Firefox too and had that problem recently. It lasted for two days at least and I had Firefox open and my computer on the whole time. I closed Firefox and restarted the computer and I did not get the 503 errors after that. I don't know if you actually have to reboot. Try closing Firefox completely (all tabs) and reopen first.

I also exclusively use Firefox, and no problems here. Any new features you've added?

This thread reported 503 problems as well:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/user-support-resources/740357-can-t-view-new-posts.html

But no details either, unfortunately.

I use FF exclusively also. I've never seen a 503 error like that...

Very weird, it is no longer doing it today. Yesterday I could successfully view the main page, subforums, thread listings, and RSS feed, but would get the error any time I actually tried to view a thread in FF. I rebooted the computer, tried running FF in safe mode, etc. All of a sudden, today everything is fine.

I normally use FF exclusively as well, and have never experienced a problem like that before. To answer your question, I had not changed/added any features or changed any settings. No new extensions, themes, etc.

It happened again today. Cleared the ls1tech.com cookies, and everything worked fine again.

If someone could give me a test case to reproduce the error, I could look into it. Every computer I use, on every operating system, seems to work just fine.

I'll see what I can do, but it's only happened to me twice and I can't think of any associated conditions between the two.

Error 503 is "Service Unavailable", not database errors. Did you begin by receiving the database errors, and then they turned into Error 503 when trying to get into other threads?

So when this problem occurs, just closing and re-opening Firefox solves the problem?

That works for me. Because of my settings, cookies get deleted when I close FF, so I don't know if that has something to do with it or not. Previous users said they just deleted the cookies and they did not get the 503 errors after that.
