Default So slow

Is anyone else having problems with Tech being slow. I have two computers at home running on Road Runner High speed and Tech is the only website that is running slow, and its been this way for a while. All the other websites i go to are fast *** hell. even my works website is fast and that is usually bogged down. Am I the only one?? Just wondering.

It's very fast for me 99% of the time. However, it does appear to be lagging
significantly right now in comparison to the norm.

I've only had one time in the last few months where it actually timed out, and I'm on it all the time.

Are you browsing other sites when this happens? Is Limewire going full-force on your other computer...

The only thing that's slower than average for me is the sponsor images -- they take the browser a bit to load. You can tweak your browser settings to establish more concurrent connections to speed that up if you wish.

Both at work (with a T1 line) and at home (cable modem) during off peak times, I have had a significant amount of trouble until about two or three weeks ago when I began to notice a significant improvement.

The slow boat is loading all the adds. However, I can browse most of the time whether or not the adds have fully loaded. I know that the ads are your revenue generators. However, I think that something needs to be done to make the advertisement images/URLs to load more simply. Perhaps you could have five company logo's per graphic/URL. Then the user could click on that link and they would go to a new page with expanded detail and links to those sponsors. Alternately, maybe the sponsors could be categorized and grouped on a single Icon/Graphic/URL. That way a sponsor grouped in a given category would get a little exposure even if someone was really seeking out a competitor. There has to be a better way to manage what has become a very commercial corner on the information highway.

I didn't know that having sex with the server counted as 'tweaking' it.

x1000! Tech has become very slow for me. I have two PC at home and one at work. The ones at home are slow, but liveable. The PC at work is so slow it's almost not even worth getting on.

Seems it happened when the new company bought it. Too bad too. Looks like I'll have to start hanging out on LS1.com more often.

I went on today from the office and I just forgot about it. Last night it was so slow I just couldnt take it. Tonight is a 5 out of 10. Made sure my internet options were set the right way, and called time warner to see how my internet coming into the house was and they said its the highest speed possible. So, dont know, must be the server on Techs end

agreed. All the other usual sites I visit are running just as quickly as they always have. That would indicate that the problem's on LS1Tech's end and not ours.

BTW, I have Comcast cable w/6Mb download speeds at home and a T1 line at the office (at least... I'm not the tech guy, but all other sites are pretty damn fast at the office)

Go figure. A big company takes over from the little guys and **** slows down. I hope the new owners are reading this post and have a plan to speed things up 'cause this is killing me.

I want to add, it must be an east coast thing. I'm on the west coast this week for work and it's zipping right along as normal but at home it's slow as molasses.

It's been really slow for me for awhile now.
Since InternetBrands took over I haven't had any timeout or search issues so at least those have been fixed but the site still takes forever to load.

Even in the old days mine was way quicker than it is now. It just gets annoying, I feel like im on dial up again. I just wanted to make sure the mods knew what was up, cause Im sure Im not the only one like I see. Just hope this can get fixed.

Well the servers where the site is hosted are now on the west coast, so the data transmission has to travel much less distance than it does to the east coast.
