I noticed the sight was down for updates around 1:50AM EST last night.

PS: I'm getting this for the search feature when attempting to search my name:

Search results provided by: ibSearch from Internet Brands beta
HTTP Status 500 -

type Exception report

message

description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

exception
*** snip of stack trace to clean up thread ***
EDIT: I'm also noticing my avatar says, "Beaflag VonRathburg's Avatar" instead of displaying it. I hope you didn't get rid of animated gifs and this is just a little error that hasn't been ironed out yet. Thanks.

I just fixed the missing icons. Beaflag, reset your avatar and let me know if it doesn't work.

I'm aware of a few issues AS MENTIONED IN THE FIRST POST. DO NOT REPOST IF THERE IS MENTION ALREADY.

I have a couple links to it as I use it on every forum that supports animated gifs.

That's how it was to start with:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/customava...ime=1191352972

I also tried:
http://neflfbodies.19.forumer.com/im...01be9a8ad8.gif

In both instances I recieved the error message invalid URL. I was also getting the same error on SSU. I finally got a new one to work there, but have no idea how I got around it.

Hey Hey everyone, i'm Chris, i work with Brains

He's going to try to get some rest this afternoon ... night and hopefully morning, he's been working his @ss off to bring the four sites out of the vBulletin version stone age.

From what we can tell so-far, it's been surprisingly successful, given the complexity of the upgrade and the huge number of moving parts to keep track of. He'd been rehearsing the various procedures on his sandbox, put-together a very detailed battle-plan which he executed during a good grueling 6 hours last night.

Upgrading from vBulletin 3.0.7 to 3.6.8 should make us more stable. Some of you already noticed performance improvements, and beyond those, we now have a more robust platform on top of which we can build good stuff ...

... such as a search box that actually does something! It's still got kinks we're working on, but so-far, and we're crossing fingers while monitoring the application, it's pretty damned fast.

Did you notice that when you click on a search result's thread link, even if the thread has multiple pages, it actually takes you to the correct thread page, with the post in it? Pretty trivial i know ... but it makes some of us here giddy.

Slow, broken search has been an issue that has plagued just about every heavily-trafficked vBulletin (and other forum software as well) forum. You guys are helping us pioneer innovations making it possible.

Thank you all for keeping your feedback constructive

search feature is definately "wonky" as you like to put it. i would just say it isnt working at all atleast for me anyway
this is what i get for search results....
"Search results provided by: ibSearch from Internet Brands beta"

thats all i get, under any search criteria.

can i change anything around in my user settings to get it to work temporarily?

What search are you typing-in, so we can track-down the issue?

I get that when I try to search my name under, "search by user name" in advanced search.
