you've had a phone for 3 days, and you want the website to conform to your surfing habits? right. almost.

go into user preferences and turn off signatures and avatars and images. it will drastically reduce the number of images you will have to load.

i still like my 8525 lol but the touch is by far cooler anyways when in the browser tap menu>view and see if show pictures is checked. it also seems to load faster when text size is set to smaller btw it takes mine 12sec to load the 823kb main ls1tech page

I disabled all the picture thing's and such, it loads alittle faster, but still drags itself to about 25 seconds loading a page. i noticed that the things that were dragging it on were the pictures to the right. is there an option to just do text instead of the images?

Your browser should have a way to disable images from being displayed.

Firefox has an option "load images automatically". When I disabled this option, no images are displayed on the page - not even the LS1tech logo.

Play around with your settings - we're not here to support your phone. Thats the cell phone company's job.

My HTC Excaliber (ie. T-Mobile Dash) loads things just fine as well. Even better with Opera Mini vs. the built-in Internet Explorer.

i use my tmobile dash to browse and everything loads up pretty quick. i disabled pics on my phone settingsm bc i was getting an error occasionally saying a script was running that was causing the device to run slowly, but without pics it hasnt done it yet. im going to turn off sigs and avatars after i post this though...

brains- since you have the same phone, have you had any proems with the phone running slowly or occasionlly locking up when trying to load pages?

i do think a mobile LS1Tech is going to come around eventually based on the site growth and the growth of the number of people who browse from a pda/phone nowadays. alot of websites have mobile pages, and i think its a great idea...in fact i came in the section of tech to post a thread about it, when i found this one.

Just download Opera for your 8925... I used it on my 8525 and I viewed tech every day from my phone and everything loaded up fine. Most of the slowness is due to the phone's processor, ram, etc. About to pick up an 8925 for myself... weee

Well, the T-mobile Dash runs Windows, so of COURSE it locks up and runs slow Sometimes it gets so loaded down, it'll take 3-4 seconds to answer a call when I hit the button.

Go ahead and forward that to Internet Brands, the new owners of the site. If it's in the works, they'll be the ones who will confirm.
