I still have the car. I see where you got a nice TTA over on the TTA board. Its apparently the crank sensor that was causing the issue. I saw where a couple guys on the board and had the same symptoms, changed the senor and all is fine.

only issue with mine is paint, which overall is going to cost about 4500 to fix it all
with the car for sale here maybe 500 to fix the rust and I think the rear main seal needed fixed last I knew? Not a hard fix, would have been alot less work to put into this one than the one I got

The rust in the pillars comes from the inside out. GM filled the frames up with these expansion foam crap that holds moisture up against them. Never know when the bubbles are going to appear but its a very common problem and in no way means the rest of the car is rotten.
FWIW these are the fastest stock third gen built, one of the rarest and most desirable third gens out there and will appreciate nicely over the next 10-20 yrs.
Great price too I'd own it but I already have plenty of cars... two third gens. One Players Challenge car etc. This is a good buy IMO
Good luck with the sale
btw... never met the seller or even seen him post on the boards these comments are for the potential buyers benefit

Of all the TTAs ive looked at over the past year this is def one of maybe 2-3 under 20k ive saw worth buying out of the 50-60 ive saw go for sale over the past year. Usually almost every one for sale is a leather t-top car and almost all of them usually need the leather replaced thats a 1000 dollar item alone. Then of course theres the paint, emblems, and spoiler which is almost never in good shape.
Theres such a minimal amount of money neede to make this car completely mint.

Yea, I always loved them as well. Nver forget, before I got "Fear", I owned a 98 LS1 Z28. Turning the corner and here comes a TA right up on me, im like, thats an older tuned port car, so lets go! Well, he started pulling on me, im like what the heck? Pulled over and sure enough, it was a nicely re worked Turbo TA!

Is it daily drivable? Also, did you say the heat and AC work, but radio doesnt? Radio can be changed easy otherwise. When you say stock, does it run better then stock with whats done and with the 93 chip? Any passes, thanks
