The Good
The car runs very smooth at idle. The car is quiet with the cutout closed but really roars when the cutout is open.
The front clip (bumper, hood, fenders) was recently painted.
The interior is in excellent shape. [Other than the slight tear as noted below] Backseat and passenger seat is in like new condition.
The car recently got 26mpg on a trip to Biloxi. I would not hesitate to drive the car across the country.
The previous owner used Mobil1 engine oil and I’ve continued to use it every 3000 miles. I recently serviced the transmission and the axle with synthetic fluid. I can provide a history record of everything I have done to the car since I bought it in February 2007.
I have a box of extra stock parts that came off of another Trans Am. It includes some interior pieces and hatch. I also have 3 like new Fusion 275/40/17 tires. All of this goes with the car.
The car is 1 of only 1602 Formulas produced in 1999.
The Bad
One wheel has some curb rash thanks to the LA roads. Tires are at about 15% tread life.
Driver’s seat has slight tear in backrest. It is about 1-2 inches long. I was quoted about $50-100 to repair at a local auto upholstery shop.
The car has the typical clear coat bubbles on the roof.
Door dings on passenger side near rocker, PO applied touch-up paint. Not really noticeable.
