LS Engine?: Car has other engine

2001 Honda S2000 located in Chicago ( I am willing to travel for a worthy trade)

I have a nice 2001 Honda S2000 that I am looking to trade.

Silverstone with red/black interior

67k miles

exterior is 8/10

interior is 7/10

Top is mint with no wear or holes.

Engine runs great and trans shifts perfect.

Tires have lots of life left.

car is mechanically stock.

Interior features a later model (AP2) center console and radio door.

clean title in hand

I would really like to free up some cash so feel free to make a trade offer with some cash on top. I cannot however add cash on top of my car.
I am not looking for an outright sale at this time.

This is a great car but I get bored quick. If you are not familiar the s2000 is a 2.0L 240HP RWD car. This is not your typical Honda. When your car is about to blow up at 6k RPM the S2000 hit VTEC and screams to 9,000.

Lets hear the trade offers.

Just curious how much money you'de want for it. One day I think I'm gonna own one, and I have just been salivating as prices have been falling into the 10k range.

To me it is worth $12k. In this economy the car has more trade value.

got rid of my s2000 for my vette almost 2 years ago and never looked back.

mine was an 01, 70k, ap2 mod red interior.

I got 10k trade in at the dealership on it 2 years ago.

only thing i hated about the 01s is it still had the plastic rear window.

not trying to be rude, but that sounds like something a teenager would say. 2 completely different designs and powerbands.

Most of the ap1s on s2ki.com are getting pretty cheap. I was asking 12,800 for mine back then and couldnt sell it, so i just took the hit and traded it in.

I hear you on the plastic rear window. Luckily my top is newer so the window is still clear. Chicago is a good sellers market for cars like this. My pal just sold a higher mile 90 miata with a 6/10 body and a hole in the rear window for his asking price of $3,500.

As for my comment about the revs, it's called positive descriptive selling. This is the wrong crowd to attempt the sale of a Honda so I need to make it stand out from the Civic you rented from Avis.
