Default 1996 Corvette Coupe - LT1, Auto, Polo Green/Beige, Transparent Roof, ZR1s

Year: 1996
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Corvette
Price: $8250
Mileage: 101400
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CA
Color: Beige
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has other engine

I'm making some changes in life so one of my corvettes is for sale. The car is Polo Green with Beige interior. It has 101,400 miles and has an auto transmission and Lt1 engine.

It is completely stock and has been dealer maintained. This car has just recently been serviced and any problem parts have been replaced. This includes a new fuel pump, new 02 sensor, new weather stripping for the roof panel (front and back), new rear carpet kit installed. Everything except the power antenna works (and that is an intermittent problem). The oil, brakes and a number of other parts have been recently serviced as wear items. I have a stack of dealer and other service records for normal maintenance like fluids and pads.

Exterior:
The exterior paint and body is overall nice considering the age and mileage. Polo green paint with a black/blue tinted transparent top. The paint is very shiny and has few problems. This is not a show car, but the pictures speak for themselves as every cloud in the sky is seen reflecting in the paint. Overall the paint is beautiful for a 100k mile car.

The problem areas are pictured including an oxidized spot/burn in the paint near the fuel tank door (right above the logo) and two small scratches on the rear bumper under the license plate. The car was lightly bumped in a parking lot and you can see the screws that held the other car's license plate on and this resulted in light spider cracking in the area. This is far less noticeable in person, but I believe in full disclosure. The front bumper was also repainted at considerable cost because the car had a leather bra for years and it damaged the paint under it. The bra is included with the car. The car has other standard rock chips and very light scratches but no surprises. Everything is pictured and can be zoomed in on.

Interior:
The interior is in good condition and everything works. Beige interior with base seats and 1SB options. Dual power seats. The AC blows cold and all doors, buttons and latches are functioning fine. The radio sounds great and all displays work as intended. It has CD and Cassette. There is a small rub in the drivers side seat (pictured) and minor other wear on both the driver's and passenger seat that is typical of a 100k mile car. The power antenna intermittently fails to retract or extend fully. The rear carpet was just replaced due to a stain from a cleaning product. The paint inside the driver's door at the very bottom has flaked off in one place likely due to poor prep at the factory (see picture). I know it is there, but no one else has ever mentioned it. The sun visors are also a bit saggy and damaged from the sun on top. The roof panel has some light stress marks in it that appear white in pictures. It doesn't leak but you can see the marks around the front edge. There is standard wear and scratches on the rubberized center console.

Drive-train:
The car has just recently been serviced for many things from oil to brake rotors and pads. It has newer spark plug wires and 02 sensors. A brand new fuel pump was also recently installed. This car has regular service intervals and I have a stack of records for it. Always Mobil 1 oil and premium fuel. The engine drives smooth and the transmission shifts great. No slipping or issues. This was a daily driver/pleasure vehicle and never a track vehicle. The car has 2.59 gears and gets great mileage around town and even better on road trips. The car has J55 13" performance brakes and stops amazingly well.

Positives:
Many new parts including; fuel pump, weather stripping for the roof panel (front and rear), 02 sensor, carpet, recent fluid service, newer brake pads and rotors.
Fresh paint on the front bumper
Recently Detailed - multi stage polish and wax

Negatives:
Power antenna intermittently sticks
Not a ZR1 (haha)
A few paint blemishes and light spider webbing near the rear license plate (pictured)
Drivers side door panel comes loose at the top if slammed too hard and the paint at the bottom
Sun visors are a bit droopy/torn on top from the wind/sun

Price:
$8250 with stock wheels and Kumho tires (fronts a newer and rears will need replacement soon)

or

$8750 with ZR1 reproduction wheels and Kumho tires (decent tread all around)

Prices are OBO but no trades or payment plans

Lemon Grove, CA - Zip 91945

I just ran an Autocheck report and have it available for anyone interested. The car has a clean title and no accident history or other reported problems.

If you would like to run it yourself, the VIN is: 1G1YY22P1T5103915

Pictures of the build sticker and VIN are in the album.

And there are a few pictures of the matching C3 and C4 in our family. This car will be missed.

No love for the LT1 corvettes?

The car Blue Books at almost $11k. I'm substantially lower than that and flexible.
