Red 97 Trans am.. just had new heavy duty transmition put in.. has about 150 miles on the tranny... has warrenty (have pappers) just installed full length SLP exhaust system with the tranny sounds damn mean (the bill was about $2250).. here is a list of mods..
5,500 miles on the motor 140,000 on body
Bottom End Rebuild: The crank was turned .010 on the
mains, and .020 on the rods. The machine work was
done by Midwest Machine in Tulsa. The rods were also
resized to match the crank. Clevite 77 rod bearings,
and Federal Mogul main bearings were used. New rings
were installed also at this time.
Top End Rebuild: the heads were milled and mildly
ported by Kessler Engines in Bartlesville. They were
milled .030, and new valve guides/seats/etc. were
installed. A complete valve job was done.
Felpro
gaskets were used all around. The intake was also
gasket matched, polished and painted.
