This is my Red ’99 Z28, Selene. She’s been my DD for the past 5 years. I am the 3rd owner. This is a must-see car; a true steal! No accidents nor suffered any major trauma. The car just has standard wear, inside and out. It’s one badass sounding car! It’s got a nice, deep and throaty rumble. The videos below are from a previous exhaust setup that’s no longer on the car.
The car was taken to the track once just for fun. It has never been seriously raced. It is an Off-Road car and will not pass an emission inspection. It can easily be fitted with Cats and will then be street legal.
KBB lists the Private Party Value of this car at over $5K in fair condition. I’m asking for $2,500 (OBO) since I need to make a quick sale. Car is being sold As-Is. See details below.

Issues:
- There are two cosmetic chips in the paint on the rear bumper. Any body shop should be able to fix this relatively easily and very inexpensively.
- There is a crack in the dashboard. You may or may not want to repair it.
- The trim along both the driver’s and passenger’s power window buttons need new brackets. They do not stay in place as is.
- The driver’s seatbelt holder is broken off of the headrest. A piece can be purchased to put it back into place.
- Brakes pulsate slightly when coming to a stop. It appears to be a warped brake rotor. Replacing the brake pads and brake rotors should end the pulsations.
- The soldering of a wire behind the radio has come loose. 1 out of 10 times, the power to the windows & radio will cut-out. Restarting the car usually fixes this. Resoldering the wire will permanently resolve the cut-outs.
- SES Light is on. Three error codes are thrown, all dealing with the Secondary AIR system.
- P0410 - Secondary Air Injection System
- P0412 - Secondary Air Injection Switching Valve A Circuit
- P0418 - Secondary Air Injection System Relay A Circuit
- The body panel in front of the driver’s door is not flush.
- There is some wear on a few spots on the hood and along the molding. To be expected on an 11 year old car.
- There’s a hole in the carpet underneath the gas pedal. The floor mat covers it up, however.

I decided against buying the car after the PM below:
"The car does have a clean title. The only issues with the car are written up on the listing. As far as shipping goes, I'm a little iffy. Not because of the trouble associated with it though. Just because I want the buyer to know what they're getting. I wouldn't want any surprises with a car and I'm assuming no one else does.
But if you'd be willing to purchase it from just my listing, I think I'd be up for letting you. Take another look at it and lemme know what you think."
Is there more to the story and as to why it is so cheap?? If it is as listed then why would he be hessitant to ship it? I can't look at it in person and he does not seem confident in it so I am out

Just to keep you folks in the loop:
Sounds good Dave. You never know. I had 66 messages in my inbox at the time I responded to your message. I apologize for not writing more. But the car's just as I've listed it. No surprises. That'd be a bad reflection on me and I'm not gonna pull that BS on someone else from LS1tech.
I haven't been so luck when buying cars online. Last car I purchased from a guy in Jersey needed over $3k worth of brake work... everything brak related was totally shot, didn't pass state inspection. I learned my lesson.
Take Care.

I'd have sold it to you just fine but I wanted to make sure that you read and understood that the car is not street legal as-is. I wanted to make sure that you knew what you were buying, sorry for checking.
I have a buyer who's flying 1100 miles to check it out and then drive it back home. I feel more comfortable having them see it first. Because they know what they're buying. But maybe it's just me who like this. I wouldn't want to be sold something without checking it out first.
Anyway, I don't blame you for posting my response on the listing. I get it, you're upset.
But best of luck with your car search!
