Default 1999 Z28 Convertible, Fast & Fun

Mileage: 89000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): MS

LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

It is now time for me to move on to another project car. Up for sale is a 1999 Camaro Z28 covertible with 89000 miles. I have owned the car for about 4 years now, and it was completely stock when I purchased it. It now has a built 346 LS6 engine with other goodies I will detail later. The car has done everything I built it to do. The car has NO rollcage which makes it illegal at almost every track in the US. I will not install a cage, if the new owner wants to, it is his, go for it. I would consider a trade for a nice 1989 Turbo TA, or an equally nice Syclone. Cash price is 16500.00, which is high, but you cannot build this car for that price. Please no tire kickers, as I do not have to sell, just wanting something different.

Engine:

GM Crate LS6 with ARP rod bolts only
Comp XER Cam with pushrods and lifters
AFR 205 heads, unmilled with titanium retainers and pacalloy springs
Fast 92 intake ,92 Throttlebody, and Fast fuel rails
Harris Speedworks 92 nitrous plate, jetted at 150
American Racing hedders and offroad Y pipe with Magnaflow exhaust
LS6 ported oil pump
LS2 timing chain and gears
Delphi 50# injectors
ASP underdrive pulley
ARP head studs
SLP lid with K&N filter and smooth bellows
Hyperstat 160# thermostat
Tuned by RWTD in Mobile Al

Trans:

Built 4L60e with Yank SS4000 convertor (fresh)

Suspension:

UMI Mild steel K member with adjustible lower control arms and stationary uppers
QA1 coilovers with 300# springs
BMR weld in sub frame connectors
UMI mid mount torque arm with driveshaft safety loop (adjustible)
Billet aluminum LCA non adjustible
UMI adjustible panhard bar
Eibach lowering springs (rear) factory shocks (rear)
Billet Specialities wheels powdercoated gold centers 15x3 front with MT 26" front runners, 15x10 with Hoosiers 275/60/15 drag radials on rear.
Aerospace Componet front and rear disc brake kit (street design)

Rearend:

Moser 9" with 3:73 gears and posi unit

Car is very, very, very streetible. has every option, and everything works. A/C has a slight leak, but I can charge it and it works for about a month. It is a convertible, so I did not care if I had to charge it ever so often. Car can still get in the upper teens on fuel mileage on the interstate. The only really bad thing on the whole car is the drivers seat is worn and needs to be repaired. Carpet could be cleaned also. Paint is very good, NO rust at all, body is very good. If I can think of anything else I will post it later. More pics availible to serious buyers.

Oh, for the curious, it can runs 10's on motor, and should get a high 9 on 150 shot. Have not been able to make a decent 1/4 mile pass on NOS yet, but have run 5 6.32's in the 1/8 with a 1.32 60' time. Here is a short video with a 1.32 60' at our local track

very nice car. runs like a raped ape and as he said you can NOT build the car for the price. also does well driving, it averages high teens mpg and i have seen him get 21 hwy mpg out of it. also he forgot to mention it has a line lock and a qtp stainless y and cutout, a bmr anti roll. this car has made a reallly nice street car around here and nobody expects it to do what it does at the track and then get driven home.
