Anyway, I'm writing you because if you really have the original from the factory AC delco remy battery, which I highly doubt after 10 years, but if that is what is in your car you need to remove it very carefully and put it as far from your car as possible right friggin now.
Those things have a failure mode where the positive terminal essentialy dissolves. When it does, the terminal cracks and it leaks the acid all down your engine bay. I can send you pictures, but it aint pretty. Yank that **** now and be real careful when you loosen the bolts. Treat it like you are diffusing a bomb. . .but again, I'd be very surprised if the original remy battery has lasted this long, they suck. They are not the same as buying a Delco from the parts store or stealership.

Thanks for the info weasel. It truly does have the original Delco battery. I disconnect it from the car in the winter and use a battery tender on it. Next time I'm in the shop I'll take a look at it.
