Model: Camaro
Price: $9900
Mileage: 72500

Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine
The only "mods" he did to the car prior to me purchasing it was a Hotchkis front tower brace, SLP lid, an upgraded C6 Z06 clutch (~10k miles old) and a set of 3.73:1 rear end gears (around the same age). Since purchasing it, I've added a B&M short shifter, a brand new set of BMR springs, Bilstein SLP shocks, and an UMI Panhard bar. The 275/40R17 Toyo Proxes 4 tires on the car are at about 95% (were brand new when I bought it), and they're wrapped around OE 10-spoke 35th anniversary SS wheels (not replicas). As can be seen in the pictures, it also has a black rear fascia to replicate the look of the Berger SS, but I also have the factory red part, which is flawless and will come with the sale of the car. Last of all, it has the rare single exhaust which was offered as an option from the factory.
So, to summarize the details listed above:
-72k Orignal Miles (no engine mods)
-New C6Z clutch (~10k miles - I've been changing the clutch fluid with Prestone DOT 4 every 300-500 miles)
-3.73:1 gears (~10k miles)
-Hotchkis Strut Tower Brace
-SLP Lid
-B&M Short Shifter
-BMR Springs (1.25" drop - less than 1k miles)
-Bilstein SLP Shocks F&R (less than 1k miles)
-UMI Panhard bar (adjustable - less than 1k miles)
-Toyo Proxes 4 275/40R17 @ 95%
-10-spoke SS wheels
Overall vehicle condition is a 9-9.5 out of 10, especially for it's age. The exterior is probably a 9 as there are a few little rock chips in the hood, and a few very small paint flaws elsewhere, but no dents, door dings or big scratches. The interior is closer to a 9.5 out of 10. No tearing or severe wearing on any of the seats (all seats look practically new aside from the driver seat, which you can tell has been sat in), the carpet has no stains, and all power options work great. It has a factory tape deck with a 12-disc changer in the trunk (which is tempermental) and the bose system sounds outstanding - No blown speakers.
So, if you're looking for a 4th Gen SS that is still in outstanding shape and hasn't been beaten, you've found it. It's not an easy one to come by!

Thanks for looking!

Awesome car, Danny! My '98SS has 24,000 original miles and after ordering it brand new in March of 1998 I couldn't be happier. My car also came with the single 3" cannon exhaust outlet. It's nice to see '98's in great condition still out there that have been taken care of...

It's cool to see a '98 with the factory catback though. Most people cut those off right away. Nice to see a survivor!

perfect canidate for a sts turbo kit. one reason i never considered them was the single exhaust ya know. being this has one already there, and it holds some integrity with it there...would be perfect. 3k dollars and install. 400 plus to the wheels. and unbolt it quik to go back to stock

i sold my 1999 f1 packaged z28 last yr for 10k.had 48k miles slot/drilled rotors, stb, kook long tubes, magnaflow cat backs, ultra z hood.zo6 clutch with new tires. i didnt need the money, i thought it was a fair deal on both ends.so a reasonable offer for this car is quite a bit lower that what you have it listed for. 8500 i would say it should move. anything more is considered premium dollar for a 98 with over 50k miles. pm me if thats not unreasonable in your book.
In any case, there's something to be said for an LS1 SS that hasn't been extensively modded and/or raced - They're very hard to come by anymore. Your former car is a perfect example of what I mean. It sounds like it was very nice, but it had numerous modifications. Now, there's nothing "wrong" with that, per se, but some people would rather have a car that's just been driven and garaged, not part swapped to go faster. I'm a great example of this type of buyer - I'd rather buy a vehicle that hasn't been messed with, then modify it myself so I know exactly what was done and how it was done.
That being said, based on the market (ie: comparable LS1 SS Camaros currently for sale) my price is pretty much right on the money. If you don't find it to your liking, you're free to go buy another one that you personally feel is priced more accurately. However, my car is worth more the $8,500 so, no, I'm not interested in your offer.
Cheers,
Danny G.

hhh
most dont consider brakes, and exhaust systems a molested type modification.makes me feel like a robbed myself at 10k . i thought 10k was a solid move in 2010.seeing the market for autos was ****. seems like people are askin more now than ever. when it should be quite opposite. i guess its cause we all think moneys the answer.
