Yes the car should have a ls6 intake. The previous owner did it because he was hard up for money. He swapped and some cash.

Well sir, I apologize. I honestly thought they didn't. I purchased an ls1 gto and for some reason thought the "LS6" intake was aftermarket. Totally me being misinformed and jumping to conclusions.
