I just had the car out today and the engine runs great. The 12,000 miles on the 402 are relatively easy miles. I do not beat on the car every time I drive it. That's why my stuff last. I have put more than 140,000 miles on several cars and they ran just fine when I sold them.

Who built the engine?? Seriously don't know what kind of clutch you put in?? Who tuned it?? Dont take offense but this all seems a little vague..I would fly down next week to get it if i felt a little better about the deal...

My SS was sold about 1 hr ago. The buyer was impressed with the car, inside and out, and was very impressed with the performance. He looked very hard for rust, and there is none. The buyer said that he would post after he gets home. Thank you all for the interest in the car.

Guys...the car is outstanding! I bought it on the 23rd and drove it back to Texas, 1100 flawless miles. Based on my prior conversations with Doc, I showed up in Florida with very high expectations and the car really delivered. I looked it over top to bottom and could't find anything to complain about. Glossy, scratch & dent free, new looking, one owner car w/o a spec of rust anywhere. I asked Doc to make sure the car was cold when I arrived so I could see a cold start. We fired it up and I was immediately impressed with the lack of smoke, or valve train noise. The exhaust/cam sounds excellent. We took the car for about a 10 mile test drive and it FLYS. I'm dying to see what this thing MPH's like at the strip.

Doc also included some extras, like the GM service manuals and lap top with Autotap & LS1 edit, build receipts and tuning notes.

On the way home my worst mileage was 17.9 and best was 19.3mpg with plenty of horseplay including stomping a 2011+ 5.0 with (at least) exhaust

Doc, I really appreciate the honestly described car and I'll take good care of her!

Wow what a steal. Why were you surprised the motor has lasted 12k miles so far. A built motor is something that should last you a long time. I just thought that was kind of strange.

Someone above asked where the motor was built. Texas Speed and Performance built the short block and I did the rest, including installing the motor and all the lines. It was a lot of work for just myself.
